It’s the little things I tend to want to remember. So I’m writing this down now – quickly – before it vanishes from memory!
Joshua said our bedtime prayer tonight, it went like this:
Daddy: “Heavenly Father,”
Joshua: “Father”
Daddy: “we thank you…”
Joshua: “da-koo”
Daddy: “for our home…”
Joshua: ” ‘ome”
Daddy: “and food…”
Joshua: “food”
Daddy: “and church…”
Joshua: “jurch”
Daddy: “and thank you for Nanna…”
Joshua: “Nanna”
Daddy: “and Grandad…”
Joshua: “Da-dad”
Daddy: “and Uncle Si…”
Joshua: “da-koo Si. An’ da-koo Mickey Mouse!!”
Out of the mouths of babes…!
I love my boy.

Somehow I’d missed the comment you made on my blog a few weeks ago. Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you liked the lesson learned from Walmart.
How adorable! He knows what he’s thankful for, You’re wise to write these things down. I have great memories of my own children learning to say their prayers. One daughter once said, “Please bless Jesus to drive safe when he comes back to the earth.”
Trina, thank you for your comment! That is so very sweet about your little girl. I have a feeling there’ll be a few (or more!) moments like this in my future as he grows. Am looking forward to treasuring each one of them
these are definitely the things I want to remember!
